The Hipster Foodie @ Eighteen Chef

Before I start with the review, I'll give a little introduction as this is my first post. I am currently schooling at a secondary school, year 4 N(a) aiming to enter the Poly Foundation programme.

I love eating all kinds of food, from herbs to steaks and giving feedbacks. I aspire to be a Food Critic somewhere in the future, so I'll be taking the Culinary Catering and Management course in Poly. As I do not have the means to create a website or get the mass media to assist, I'm limited to only using blogs to begin. :)

P.S. My first post got delayed due to some errors and bugs in the bloggers mobile app. It kept failing to upload, and disappears after I press refresh! :(

------The Review!------
Restaurant: Eighteen Chef
Outlet: AMK Hub, level 4.
Overall Rating: 5/10. Okay for it's price, would recommend.

--Review Ver.A (Short version)--
A 5/10. Great decorations and design from the outside, caught my attention.
Service was great at first...It didn't hold on.
Food was great for it's price.
Menu has a great variety of food to choose from.

--Review Ver.B (Detailed Version)--

First impressions rating- 7/10
Artistic graffiti on the walls, great logo designs.

Service rating- 3/10
The host was exceedingly friendly and welcoming. She kept on a warm smile while attending to the customers, swiftly bringing them to their seats and giving them the undivided attention.
However, the waiter/waitresses and cashiers were totally opposite. Waiters had their backs facing customers nearly all the time, frequently pretending to not see customers calling them at times. Cashier was rude and impatient. There was a customer in front of me, whom I assumed is new to the restaurant, that didn't know how to place the order. The cashier just stared at the customer impatiently without helping him at all! After the order was eventually made, the cashier didn't even repeat the order or thank the customer.. Which shouldn't be the case in the FnB Service line.
Our order came pretty fast (About 5-10 mins after ordering) although the restaurant was pretty crowded. The one thing I find the worse, the one that pulled down the ratings, was that they served dirty utensils! My fork and spoon on the tissue had cheese debris all over so I went to the cutlery stations to obtain new ones but to my dismay, they were all dirty as well.. Not to mention my chili flakes stained lemon tea drink! The cup had some chili flakes stuck on it.. Pretty much ruined my appetite.

Food rating- 5/10
The food looks extremely appetizing. I ordered the 'Double Cheese Baked Pasta, with 2 sausages and 1 scrambled eggs' It was simply mouth-watering to look at, so I dug into my food immediately after getting served. However, the scrambled eggs that was conveniently placed at the top, was cold! I had to bury it under the baked rice to transfer some heat to the eggs. I'd rather eat hot eggs than cold eggs! Hahahahaha. Quantity of sausages and baked rice was barely enough to meet my satisfaction. It wouldn't fill the belly of an adult. But still, the price was cheap. Definitely worth the price though.

General rating- 4/10
The furniture was badly arranged and cramped.. There was barely even any space between neighboring tables, pretty uncomfortable. Could literally hear the person next to me whispering over the somewhat noisy environment.

Overall rating- 5/10
I feel that the dirty utensils, cold eggs and what not are just some mistakes as I've noticed that some of the waiters are actually new. Aside from these, I would definitely rate this restaurant higher.
Would recommend. :)
